NYC

C & B Wedding

This past September we held a small wedding celebration in New York City with family and friends.  Since we got engaged in Paris last Christmas, we kept with the Parisian theme with a touch of vintage New York. It was fun to design and create these personal touches for our own wedding.

The Daffodil Project

You know it's spring time once you see the streets of New York lined with daffodils. What I didn't know, thanks to my co-worker, that many of these lovely flowers are part of the Daffodil Project. A memorial for the victims of 9/11, that started by a Dutch bulb supplier.

Hopefully these daffodil will brighten up your day, especially now with what has happened in Boston.

Be careful out there everybody, where ever you are.

sleep no more

My friend Jason, first told me about Sleep No More and I was too scared to go last year. It's part Macbeth/Eyes Wide Shut/Pick Your Own Adventure. Thankfully the show has been extended since they have been getting rave reviews. I finally built up the courage to go last night and never experienced anything like it. If you're in NYC, I highly recommend it.

I think this was my favorite room (of course the one with envelopes on the wall) and probably the least creepy :)

the calm before the storm

I survived my first hurricane this past weekend. I stocked up on water, snacks, candles and even filled my tub with water. Here are some pics from my neighborhood before Hurricane Irene came into town. Luckily my apt building had no damages and we didn't lose power. Thank you for all of those who were concerned.

The chips shelf at Walgreens. Good thing I bought my snacks the night before.

baohaus

BaoHaus just opened a second location in the East Village and of course I had to check it out. My friend and I shared their Royal Frush combo. No, I didn't spell that wrong, their tagline is Fresh Off The Boat. If you're Asian you'll understand the joke ;) It was also a pleasant surprise to see my friend, Henry as one of their cooks. I ordered the Chairman Bao, Birdhouse Bao and the Robin Givens. Next time I'm thinking of ordering the Uncle Jesse.
